For fun only

Six things to make with a small DC motor.

The DC motor in the title got my attention.  After I started watching, I thought it silly.  After about 4 minutes, I realized I was still watching it.  Then I looked to see if anyone else watched this and saw that this has 4.4 million views!

How often do you see someone make an impeller and propeller?  Guess how many amps the device with the impeller used (big battery)?  I wonder if there are any physics guys here that could figure this out using energy equations?  No details on the specs is given.

Enjoy

He probably needs the ad revenue from those 4m views to pay for his hot melt supplies.

I just started using hot glue (Gorilla brand) on some electronics and I am very impressed with it.  The last time I used it was 30 years ago when I was not impressed.  I even glued the same switch he used and it has not come lose.  This is for experimenters that do not have the skills or tools to machine things.

If I had not recently used it on switches and meters, I would have laughed.  Now I am a believer.  I got the small glue gun and glue last month.  On some mistakes, I have had to throw the parts away because I could not separate them (cheap Aliexpress stuff).

I was trying to build the smallest current meter I could.  I got it down to 1 1/2 sq inches using hot glut to fasten the switch and contacts to the meter.  I am very happy with the stuff, maybe that is why I liked the video.

This might make a good topic - pictures of electronic projects put together using hot glue.  If I can remember I will take a picture of some of the things I put together using hot glue.  Thanks for mentioning this  :-+

I'm a fan of it, but have spent so long not using it I nearly always find other solutions first.
