What makes eevblog really shine is that Dave really excels at the whole video production, looking back at 100 posts. That is acting, scripting, editing, lighting, photography, etc.,
I'm not sure why 100 is a milestone, nor is there any milestone in operating for 1 year. A real milestone is the day when history changes and life takes a different turn and a path, such as when income allows Dave a new career, quits his job to do this full time, or if its picked up by a TV company or makes the national news. The day that happens is the day to mark; a new career takes the garage aspect out of the production and, with more time and freedom, will change the whole character and volume of output.

The acting sucks, there is no script, editing is slap-dash, and the lighting sucks. But apart from that, it's not too bad! ;D

Then its even better, you're a natural at it. If 10X your current audience is all you need, then there is a definitive target, is that the minimum you need, ~ 170,000?
Yes, whenever possible, I spread the word and I click your links to give you whatever % I can through your advertisers. But since they are only on the home page, it can be missed. Maybe it should surround every forum page in small but noticeable icons or, in as some boards, are associated with product names so that if an item is clicked link to the vendor's site to explore specs, and possibly purchase. You also lose a lot of hits when we leave the forum to search for products, specs, prices, info so linking to them within the forums will give you referral points, that you can later find out how it can be of financial value to you. Some things I often do while actively reading forum contents are jump to digikey, findchips, fluke, wikipedia, etc., to get more info on a discussion.
Although electronics enthusiasts in a given country may be a small percentage, I think the future is in personal sites that are niche but look at a worldwide audience, so albeit the subject is a small % of a population, the returns maybe enough to keep going.
