Epson LCD question.
« on: December 01, 2011, 08:48:54 pm »
I have the following EA-D20025PR-S Epson LCD.

It states that it is HD44780 equivalent using the SED178 controller so I guess the existing libraries for the HD44780 will do the job.

The pin arrangement is like:

The thing is that I can't find the datasheet in order to identify the I/O. The SED1278 isn't accessible (epoxy coated embedded ic) in order to use a multimeter continuity mode.

Does anyone ever used such an LCD? Any help on the datasheet?

Alexander.

Hello,

I would hazard to say that the pinout is the other standard HD44780 pinout as shown here

Check whether the ground connection as indicated in the pinout makes sense.

Cheers,
Dan
