Soldering station topic revived
« on: July 12, 2011, 10:18:19 am »
There was a useful discussion on soldering stations sometime this April (Pace, Metcal, JBC grade vs. 'the others'). Sadly it was too short; I would have liked it go on, and on, and on...
I'd like to ask people on this forum to comment on their rework stations and soldering irons, but please also indicate what are you soldering/reworking and how long do you spend daily doing this. For example, saying something like 'I have an Antex and it's been great for 10 years' isn't very useful because you could be soldering 5 caps a year.
Personally, I am interested in JBC-related info. I am currently eyeing and drooling over their RMST and would be grateful for any additional practical info I can get.
