Yes, today was one of those days, I was sitting at work fixing mainboards for a train computer system and I needed a break, ... the wires all were crossed... or my eyes were, I still cannot tell.
To take a break I decided to play with my monitor a bit... this is the result

haha, for a second I thought you just smashed out the screen and just had the monitor frame.

Hide all the desktop icons and the task bard and it'll look even more effective.

In answer to the question; I end up with a lot of "Those" days :P
In relation to the photo; That's very silly, but very clever. The best of both worlds!

Cool! that's totally one of those "I wish I would have thought of that"
-
hehe very good for a moment i assumed you had a screenless frame

Now all you need is a screen saver that preserves the desktop background, perhaps something with a moth flying around?
I can see it now, "Oh god, there's a spider building a web on your monitor!"

There was a screen saver kicking around a few ago that sat there quite happy for a little while - then put up a window blue screen of death.(with genuine possibility for the error code). Then it rebooted and sat there for a little while before repeating.
I did teach someone to lock his machine when he left it with that. ;D
