Ex Google autonomous vehicle engineer wants to create an AI God

This is an interesting story.
A controversial engineer who has been involved in multiple simultaneous competing companies to make self-driving cars (and who is fighting a lawsuit over it) is apparently also now creating his own religion that wants Man to create an electronic "Godhead".

This is a story that could only have happened in the SF Bay Area.
