Expensive P-clips!!

I found this interesting product on Element 14.

I don't see any reason why these should be so expensive so I think its just an error in the system.

so the clip is more expensive than the cable. must be hell of engineering and metalurgy have been put into there. probably made out of unobtainium. funny they only claim its aluminium. i never seen gold so expensive.

If it was an Aerospace rated and certified unit I would say the price can be in ballpark for certain applications. RS has screws that are $100 plus each, in a M4 size, and do sell them. Of course that will be a Titanium alloy screw, rated to work when white hot. For these clips they would have to be the matching fasteners.
