Interesting film.

My Dad worked on the F1-11 here in Australia, they had an issue with he TFR near Townsville, where the continental shelf is has a very shallow angle.

When flying from land over the ocean, if the salinity and ocean temperature were just right, the TFR would not see the water and fly into the ocean if not corrected, following the ocean bed. This sort of thing was alluded to late in the film.
