Farnell trouble in delivering to Mail Box?
Faringdon:
Hi,
I ordered three items from Farnell on 16th June 2022
1174294 ( 2 off)
1422758 (12 off)
1422760 (2 off)
...all are in stock in well above the qty i ordered
The Farnell website says they are “in transit”….but also says “expected with you 17/06/22”…its now 29/06/22
I am wondering if its because I have a mail box address…ie, I am not there to sign for the delivery?
Is there any way round this?
pcprogrammer:
Contact Farnell and ask them.
Shock:
If your post office is manned and they don't sign for you, typically they will leave a note in your box asking you to collect at counter and sign. Sometimes they forget so you can also ask them if it's overdue. This also applies if it's too large to fit in your box.
Delivered status here normally means it's arrived at the destination. But if it's gone through royal/national mail rather than a third party, since the the post office is tracking it themselves they may hold the status as undelivered in their system until you sign.
Your post office also may offer electronic notification of packages/mail to your box. If they do might pay to sign up for it. I once had to ask mine to double check as they had it on the floor inside below my box rather than on their collections shelf, so someone must have put it there and forgot to put a collection notification in.
Anyway it pays to also ask them the process especially if it's oversize it will be likely there waiting for you to pickup at the counter.
jc101:
Login to the Farnell website and look at your order, it will have a tracking number if shipped. If not, give them a call.
bd139:
They usually just send the order out again if it disappears.
