I wouldn't worry too much about it. We have generations of kids coming out of college who doesn't even know moon light is from reflected sun light... College graduates may know how to use a phone and how to down load an app, but to too many of them, an appropriate plug is one that can fit the slot mechanically. The concept of appropriate voltage or current is for many way beyond what they want to know.
Irony isn't it. We are so dependent on technology yet we have fewer and fewer who understand even just the basics.
I am to the point where I wonder if we would have sufficient know how (on average) to sustain a technological society. If not, subsistence farming looks like our probable future.
So, overheated CPU is but rumor of the past. Chicken is something you raise, not something you buy from... what do you call it? A store?
