That's funny ^-^ Ironically something similar did happen way back in the Homing Overlay Experiment, HOE for short. This experiment was to see if a kinetic kill could take place in space to intercept an ICBM. In one of the early tests, when the intercept test missile was fired and shroud removed to allow the HgCdTe IR sensor/tracker to track the incoming test ICBM thru a window, somehow this sensor was mounted facing the wrong way, looking at the missile wall instead of out the window :o That would have been a interesting post flight analysis meeting to attend |O Best, |

Well, the first images from Hubble were a disaster and the project was almost ruined, good thing we found a way to fix it. =) |
