That's funny ^-^

Ironically something similar did happen way back in the Homing Overlay Experiment, HOE for short. This experiment was to see if a kinetic kill could take place in space to intercept an ICBM. In one of the early tests, when the intercept test missile was fired and shroud removed to allow the HgCdTe IR sensor/tracker to track the incoming test ICBM thru a window, somehow this sensor was mounted facing the wrong way, looking at the missile wall instead of out the window :o

That would have been a interesting post flight analysis meeting to attend  |O

Oh dude that's just WRONG!  :-DD

I'm thinking the first deep deep space pic will be some message like this (imagine very weaK and fuzzy) ...

YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO SEE FARTHER THAN THIS
I told my friends I could teach them to be funny, but they all just laughed at me.

Well, the first images from Hubble were a disaster and the project was almost ruined, good thing we found a way to fix it. =)

Or a more subtle: the distant scenery just looks pixellated, or fuzzy or unloaded, as is often the case in video games. :)

But yeah, stoked to see this thing get online :-+

After landing on Venus, the Russian Venera 14 lander popped a camera lens cap off which landed in the way of the soil compressibility probe.

???  What's "TEMP BAN" about that post ?
I, sometimes, indulge a little whimsy, if you are complaining that fictional element (obviously) isn't a 'true' narrative. I even posted a picture of a 'cat', recently...(actually, was a picture of a bug)

It was sarcasm, as ones' reaction to a "bad" pun while also enjoying it.
