First of the 25 posts on page

I tend to remember the first post of the 25 on a page, especially if it's an image, or a reply from or to me.
Anyone noticed that the first post on a page sometimes changes to another post, or is it just me(going nuts).

As an example, I think this one used to be the first on a page, and now it's not, or is it some post deletions or something.

It generally means somebody has deleted posts prior to yours, if you made a post at say #100 in a thread and someone later removed two prior posts then your one would become #98, this will in turn place your post at a different location on that page or even on a prior page.

Edit: As expected you can't delete the 1st post of a thread.

No, you cannot delete the first post of a thread, but you can delete any of your own posts after that.

I almost expect a deletion or 2 in a current thread, but I'm surprised when the deletion(s) from the previous page(s) must be of posts which are weeks/months old.

I think you can delete the 1st subject post as long as there are zero replies to it, because I seem to remember on at least one occasion I've posted a question, and them changed my mind and removed it, of course I might just be imagining it.

Another useless snippet. The message numbers ( #msg1790588 ),  increment over 10 times faster than the total number of visible posts.
