Fluke 289 can't connect to FlukeView
« on: February 06, 2024, 07:38:40 pm »
Hii,
I've lost my IR cable but I have usb uart at ft232rl so I made fastly a new one and there's problem.
When I connected scope there's normal signals at Tx and Rx but no connection to meter, sometimes there's blinking the connection icon on meter but still nothing on pc.
Do you have any ideas why it's not working?
I've installed drivers from ftdi website.
Sorry for my English.
Best regards :)

Hi,

Try downloading FT Prog and pasting in the VID/PID parameters.

Hm, I have the same parameters as you by default.
Today I had some time and checked module using Termite.
So module is working when I short Rx and tx and send some data I receive the same data but when I take mirror or take the ir diode next to receiver sometimes it's working and sometimes it doesn't ( on scope it was losing
some bits - one or two)
I think that the phototransistor is bad.
I've bought few new IR transistor so I'll check it soon ( when I'll receive it)
I don't have any other idea why it's acting like this
