Fluke 8842A some ranges not working.

Hi. I am looking at a fluke Fluke 8842a  and  the seller says that some ranges are not working. He did not specific anything else even after i have asked him. He has a picture with the meter powered on , no leads and the display si showing a reading on mV scale.   
  What can be rong? tnx
