Upset the neighbor again
« on: May 15, 2015, 10:20:49 am »
I got pulled by my neighbor today and he got around to having a pop about my midnight hours keeping him awake, no idea why, all I do is watch a few videos as I am pulling things to pieces in my spare bedroom come workroom, anyway he asked why I was awake at this hour and I told him I was determined to catch the postman today as I had some bits and pieces I was waiting to turn up, he asked what they were and i happened to mention a block of Rosin, to which he asked me what it was for. Well I had the devil in me and I calmly replied it was for violins, I swear his face drained of all the blood and he asked me if I was damned well taking up playing the violin on top of all the rest I do. I did not have the heart to tell him why I wanted it , I just smiled and walked away saying if it was good enough for sherlock holmes then it might help me sleep.....  :-DD :box:

You should tell your neighbor to wind his neck in!  Nosey bugger!

You should find some boxes from something obnoxious and loud, like a guitar amp or big PA system and hover it under his nose.

My neigbours do not bug me since a courier once dumped something at my neighbours, because it was too heavy and i was not home.
He never should have, and was not allowed to hand it to annyone but me.
Now they know what i got in my basement...  :-[

Jeesh, you should see the look on my neighbours when I tell them I play bagpipes! HiHi.
Actually about 80% say they LOVE them and start angling for freebee gigs at weddings funerals etc the other 20% run and hide (just what they were invented for!)
Whoah! Watch where that landed we might need it later.

I haven't had a complaint about noise from neighbours since the one who threw parties every night moved. They tried reporting me for listening to music from about 10 when they were recovering from the night before. Sort of backfired for her lol

Nothing wrong with the pipes...

I'm part Irish and Scottish and disagree wholeheartedly. I'd rather listen to Justin Bieber been tortured...

You mean he was drinking a Coca-Cola while speaking with you?  :-//
I told my friends I could teach them to be funny, but they all just laughed at me.

Tell him you are thinking of taking up the violin, and the bagpipes, but will get an electric version of both as the standard ones are not loud enough.

I'll take your drums and give you the Alphorn:

I can beat all those, Dear Mr David Jones, I just bought one of those onhunlo soldering stations you hate cos it was all I could afford ( true, i did it today )

Now, lets just wait for the scream and shout of pain from Dave.
We find getting a box of clay targets out for some shotgun practice does the job well with most of the neighbours, the upside is most won't argue with guys or even gals holding shotguns.  :-DD
Even the cops can only say "carry on" when done safely on private property here in NZ.

When we REALLY want to piss them off, get a group of dirt riders in for a Sunday afternoon of scrambling.  :-DD

You should be able to do this stuff in the country, right?   >:D

When I was young and inconsiderate, I wanted to stroll down the shops about half a mile away to buy a newspaper, but I was halfway through an AC/DC album and didn't want to stop listening to it, so turned up the hi-fi, opened up some windows and could still hear my music all the way to the shops and back. A lot of people really got fed up with my hi-fi.

Tautech. Stay in NZ my friend, it is getting ridiculous here now on freedoms. It won't be long before you can't leave your home without someone saying you are breaking some law or other. Now they want to scrap the HRA and that is going to cause a lot more problems than it solves because no one will have a way of stopping illegal Govt activities against the individual when the Govt is the final arbiter. Buthey politics is not a good subject to discuss.

On another vein, I got my onehunglow ESR tester today, my pc video card kept crashing and i found a 1500uF 6.3v electrolytic has burst itself open after removing it earlier, so now I have to get one of those someplace, I was so looking forward to using my new toy to check the caps :( , I never bothered to just look at the board. Oh well.
Enjoy your remaing time my friend, you presence here has lifted my spirits and others too no doubt.
I see by your profile and introduction we're a similar age and from a time when Jap stuff was considered muck. Much Chinese gear is well past this point now too, so enjoy your new "play" things, there's no way we could have afforded these types of TE just a few years ago.  :-+

I think Justin Bieber being tortured would be a most pleasant sound, certainly better than the music he makes.

This reminded me of being a teenager and having a CB radio.  On one side of the house was a multifamily home.  One of the tenants, an old fart, which is what I am today, used to complain that he could hear me in his portable tv.  I swear he only turned that thing on when I was on the radio.  I finally asked him why he didn't use his console tv when I was on the radio.  No answer but he never said anything again.

should have told him the rosin was to be used to seal the hull of the full scale noah's ark you are planning on building in the backyard...
