Rubberband in a can.

Why do I have a feeling that man Angrybird  gets paid to disrupt threads like mine.

Closer than you know  ;) My Rubber motors and bulk rubber was kept in a black plastic bag inside a coffee tin with a little talc on them. Take one or two out the day before use and drop it into the lube jar and head out to fly.

The carnage yielded on Tissue and Balsa by an exploding rubber motor being wound is truly amazing so best avoided :'(

No censorship but we are trying to stay on topic. the topic was RC rules in the US, not the ethics of hacking equipment.

I know it's not on topic, but it would be interesting to see some pictures of your planes, even in a new thread.   I played a bit with my own balsa doped tissue planes.  The early ones were rubber band powered.   I had a book on RC controlling a rubber band powered plane.  The controls were also rubber powered.   Something more like a stepper motor with 90 degree steps.   I wanted to try and build something like that but it was beyond my skill level at the time.

The last one I started to build was a large glider.  Achilla or something like that.  I gave it to the kid nextdoor who finished the project and flew it.

I have a brother who used to play a lot with model planes.  The most impressive one I remember was where he had made a small motor for one.   I think he teaches classes now.

Sorry for the off topic posts.  Feel free to delete them as needed.
