Forum bug for the messages display list count ?

The default messages display list is 15, but I want more and apparently the setting > 15 doesn't work. 

Changed it, log out and re-login back in forum, tried several times, still stuck at the same max at 15 lines messages.

Any one having the same experience ?

I've got it set to 50 topics/messages per page, and I seem to get 50 topics/posts per page.
Does the count reset back to 15 all the time?  Maybe it's a bug in the newer board versions?  I've got it setup for ages like this.
