Forum hidden viewers

In the screenshot below there are a few oddities. I am the only member looking at that thread, and there are 10 guests looking at it. 1:10 surprises me, but is probably transient :)

But what is a "hidden" viewer?

I expect the answer is obvious, so simply point me to it :)

BB forums have an option to hide your username from those lists.
But I went through all those goddamn preferences and can't find it :-//

I was wondering what kind of paranoid people use it but this explanation makes perfect sense :)

Each client that doesn’t store cookies is being counted separately with each requests it makes. That mostly includes web crawlers and in a thread of 1.3k pages it is likely to have many of them at the same time.
People imagine AI as T1000. What we got so far is glorified T9.
