Title: frequency of an attractor of a dynamical system
Post by: metebalci on March 28, 2023, 01:16:53 pm

Not totally related to electronics but I have a question. At least at the entry level, the analysis of (non-linear) dynamical systems are concerned with stability and bifurcations etc. but for example does not say something regarding the behavior in time e.g. the frequency of oscillations. Basically, lets say there is a limit cycle or an attractor that is causing some type of oscillatory behavior, what are the search terms that I should look for that is working on such analysis ? I tried but it always ended with stability or bifurcation analysis.

Look for "Frequency characteristics of a dynamical system". Basically, you have a function that transfers the time domain to the frequency domain. Think FFT etc
Another thing to look for is " reconstruction of the phase space using a frequency domain.
