Watching this utube video on how quickly one can go from schematic to assembled board using a pcb service. I found it amazing how it all comes together.

It is convenient to use the free EasyEDA to develop simple and medium-complex PCB designs. It is very close to KiCad in management.

There is a very important and pleasant feature of EasyEDA: you can draw a schematic by installing real components, selecting them from their LCSC database, while controlling their price, availability on stock balances, and always at hand a datasheet. But the best part is that all the components that you used in the scheme will already receive a footprint and silkscreen when imported to the PCB. And when you complete the PCB design, you can order the production of PCB and the supply of components at a reasonable price (without inflating the price by famous sales monsters) in a couple of clicks. You can also get BOM and Gerber files for other production.

What happens when the parts you need are not in the LCSC database?

As in any other program, you can add it yourself. At the same time, you can use ready-made footprints of standard cases or search for those made by other people.

You can set a different supplier (for example, Mouser or Farnell) in the parameters and this will be displayed in BOOM so that it is convenient to divide it by supplier.
