Productivity Commission Draft Report on Right to Repair in Australia
«

I think many members of this forum and Dave himself are supporters of right to repair. One of the really important developments I found out about at the Australian Repair Summit earlier today was the existence of the
draft report by the Productivity Commission on Right to Repair in Australia
. They are currently taking further information and feedback on the draft report.
Similar documents such as
the ACCC Report into The New Car Retailing Industry
and
Nixing the Fix: An FTC Report to Congress on Repair Restrictions
in the US have been essential in setting a precedence and getting legislators to move and move in a favourable direction.
Submissions close Friday 23 July 2021. Any submissions, even brief comments will be important to building the case for right to repair in Australia. This is the final opportunity to make contributions before the final report.
