Google+ shutting down after Google spent last 7 months covering up a user data vulnerability that went unfixed for three years.

YES!! Die Google+, die in a fire! I hated it from the moment that abomination spawned, and google did their best to force everyone into it by making it a requirement for youtube. As evidence I submit my G+ avatar from the start: http://everist.org/pics/misc/Gplus_avatar.jpg

Extra ironic and evil since Google has been leading the charge to force everyone to register via their real names online. You want to have some random nic on youtube or anywhere really, with no traceback? Sorry, not allowed. And now it turns out they were effectively doxing everyone. Deliberate? I bet it was.

Estimates vary wildly. Some say as many as 12 users.
But actually if you gave a gmail account you have a G+ account too, and are affected.

and you need a gmail account to sign into your android phone.

so thats 80-90% of the population, depending on region.

I'm sorry to inform you I'm in the 4 or 12 people affected by this :( :scared:. I have more followers on Google+ than I have on Facebook! At least I can download my data with Google Takeout...

Bastards. I was forced to sign up for this crap when I started to take Youtube more seriously. Rarely accessed it, thus I have absolutely no idea what data I have there, as it surreptitiously published many of the comments posted in other platforms.

Oh, the "whys" of the datasheets... The information is there not to be an axiomatic truth, but instead each speck of data must be slowly inhaled while carefully performing a deep search inside oneself to find the true metaphysical sense...

Yeah sad reality is that actually a lot of people have G+ it's just a question of who uses it or not.   So actually a pretty big portion of the population are indeed affected by this.  They know everything including your search history and what sites you visit and all that is public now.
