Hackerspace-Makerspace coming to Toronto west! - need your help

I am setting up a Makerspace/Hackerspace for people in Mississauga/Oakville/Brampton, I have the space for it in a commercial area.

In general, hackerspaces function as centers for peer learning and knowledge sharing, in the form of workshops, presentations, and lectures. They usually also offer social activities for their members, such as game nights and parties. Hackerspaces can be viewed as open community labs incorporating elements of machine shops, workshops and/or studios where hackers can come together to share resources and knowledge to build and make things.

Can you help? My areas of expertise are in Electronics and woodworking. I know someone who is an expert in 3D printers and laser cutters, hope to get those or at least a 3D printer.
Seeking people to set up a web site, contact established makerspace communities and get their advice, move equipment and set them up, etc. First thing needed is a forum so people can join in and discuss how to go about it.
I will put the address and more details once things get going.

I'm relatively active at my local space (Saskatoon) and was around for the founding discussions. I'd be more than happy to chat with you about things that have worked and not worked, etc.

Is this project still active?  my background is electronics and software.  Could help with a web site.

What generale area are you looking at?  I am in South Etobicoke near the Mississauga border.
