I am setting up a Makerspace/Hackerspace for people in Mississauga/Oakville/Brampton, I have the space for it in a commercial area.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HackerspaceIn general, hackerspaces function as centers for peer learning and knowledge sharing, in the form of workshops, presentations, and lectures. They usually also offer social activities for their members, such as game nights and parties. Hackerspaces can be viewed as open community labs incorporating elements of machine shops, workshops and/or studios where hackers can come together to share resources and knowledge to build and make things.
Nearest ones are in Toronto (downtown I think), Hamilton, Guelph

Seeking people to set up a web site, contact established makerspace communities and get their advice, move equipment and set them up, etc. First thing needed is a forum so people can join in and discuss how to go about it.
I will put the address and more details once things get going.
