Title: Happy 2017 Dave and EEVblog Forum Members
Post by: Halcyon on December 31, 2016, 08:42:38 am
Well, I'm going to be a bit of a party pooper tonight and grab an early night because I am just stuffed (and get to wake up early tomorrow and do it all again).

I'm sure everyone here will mimic my words but I wanted to extend a personal thank you to Dave for all his hard work and effort in sharing his knowledge and wisdom with the world, it really has a roll-on effect for some of us which leads to bigger and better things. Also thanks to Simon, Geoffrey, Dave II and Tiernan for all the brilliant work you guys do for the EEVblog 'enterprise'. I know a lot happens behind the scenes and putting together a video or two each week is only a part of what Dave is all about (and even then it's much more than just turning on a camera and fiddling in the edit suite for an hour).

Finally, thank you to Mrs. Jones for letting Dave do what he does. I acknowledge that working late and on weekends means it's time away from you and the family. I hope tonight you're letting the kids stay up a bit later than usual, having a glass of wine (or sparkling water in your case Dave) and enjoying the fireworks display due in Sydney harbour in a few hours time.

Kick ass in 2017!  :-+

Let's not. The streets over here are already filled with smoke/smog from fireworks.

Happy new year, and thanks to all my neighbours for spending lots of money on fireworks so I didn't have to.

I know how you feel. In the US we have the 4th of July which is our independence day. One time my city's (Or county's or state's, I forget which) government thought it would be a good idea to leaglize fireworks for around a week.

It sounded like the blitz, shells going off every other minute.

Yes ... A Happy New Year to all.

The fireworks over Sydney Harbour were good to watch ... on the TV in a smoke-free home.

That was 16 hours ago .... Man! time flies!  2017 will be over before you know it.   :scared:

At least yours are fireworks.

Near me retards are playing with gunfire. No offense to those with real world mental issues.

May Darwin return the projectiles to sender instead of through any good folks roofs, or worse, skulls.

Happy new year's in ~34 minutes to those on the West coast!!

A late HNY for all here and a heartfelt thanks to all who've offered help and advice when I've asked for it, thanks to all the
EEVBloggers who have posted such a wide and interesting range of information (it's a rare day I can't learn something* from the posts here) and an extra special thanks to Dave, Mrs Dave and the two apprentice engineers for all the entertainment/knowledge and general fun.

*even if it's only that I spend too much time on message forums.
