Of course strictly speaking none of the above is correct, as timebase controls are invariably calibrated in time per division, not per screen.

The whiner in https://www.eevblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=4325.msg57324#msg57324 wouldn't probably figure it out.

"Hardest exam for an EE student revaled!"

Is this sarcasm, realistic sarcasm or are there a bunch of incompetent engineers out there? The correct answer was all messed up, as Mike pointed out.

This should be a classic "Which answer is MOST correct?" question!

If I was marking the paper and someone corrected the supposed correct answer, then I'd instantly pass them and fail the rest  :P

Personally, I wouldn't bother reading long answer. If it is multiple choices and the shorter answers are definitely wrong, the long one is the correct answer.

This makes test taking faster.

If I was marking the paper and someone corrected the supposed correct answer, then I'd instantly pass them and fail the rest  :P
Dave.

I wouldn't since it was the instructor that failed.

Come on, an EE student shitting his pants over oscilloscope specs ... Either he sooner or later starts to get that it is up to him, and no one else, to learn the basics of the trade, or he is on the way to fail or become a FAIL.

Guys, this question was at end of XYZ of oscilloscopes from TekTronix!

As I couldnt find the best answer between options I decided to post it here! The great idea would be showing current time of the day on your scope using time base knob :P

Yes, TekTronix guys need to learn how to make exams! If I was not suspecting this question I would just remember the partly true answer in my permament brain memory and refuse to correct it later. Not a very big deal, but they are TEK guys  :-X
