| Have a treat - air shows of military planes WW2 to present day |
| (1/1) |
| Rick Law:
From reading the posts here in the past years, I came to notice many here are interested in air planes. Seeing the grainy old documentary films and new fake digital ones in movies is interesting, but seeing a lot of actual real ones flying present day and en-masse is kind of a treat, even if it is in video instead of in person. If you are one of those interested, there is a video with a 30 minutes US Air Force airshow you may be interested in. US Military air planes from WW2 to present day. It starts with the last remaining two working C47's the USAF has, from two B17's (with four Mustangs flying escort), B25, B29's (one of two last in the world that remained flying). Corsairs, so on, are also featured. Then came post WW2 ones like A26 Invaders, B52's, B1's, B2's, Osprey, F15 Eagles, F22 Raptors, and the A10 Warhog, so on. Helicopters were also featured like the famed Bell 47 (remember MASH?), Huey, Black Hawks and others, even the air-refueling tankers used by USAF were featured. (Sorry, no Tom Cruise's Top Gun F14 Tom Cats, that's NAVY) The Korean War era F86 Sabre was schedule to appear but it had mechanical problems and missed the show. Two F35B's was there but while the MC was yapping about the capacities of the F35, the camera was not looking skyward at the time. So you don't get to see the F35s in the whitehouse.gov video. Other news coverage might have the F35B's flight in their coverage. The video is our July 4th celebration video "Salute To America". After the music, speech and things, at video time mark 1:21:00, the 30 minutes air show starts, and then closes with a few more minutes of songs and Colors marching out. |
