 ;D ;D ;D
Or a very belated boxing day, or very early new years "tool" purchase!

Nice!

It surprises me just how frequently I reach for calipers when I'm working in the shop.  An indispensable tool.

I have at least 4 sets of those vernier calipers, including the one I got for free, size is "fits most", seeing as it opens up to over 600mm, though I most often use the small 150mm ones.

I got myself 1 just before Christmas too. Just a cheap one, £20 odds I think it was! It's amazing how much I use it now I have 1. Handy wee tool!  :-+

I need to get some new batteries for my cheapie Aldi electric calipers. Now that I'm designing stuff with 3D printing, I am finding I need them more than ever, normally having to make do with a couple of rulers as either measuring tools or straight edges.
I forget who I am sometimes, but then I remember that it's probably not worth remembering.

Well, for the last 4 years or so, I've been using a regular vernier caliper with resolution of 0.1mm (but I couldn't really be sure of its precision).

So when I saw my Mitutoyo distributor had the digimatic on sale for 84 Euros, I jumped at the chance to scoop it up and have a "reference" caliper.
