Yep. I'm not blaming China for the situation, I'm just saying that this is where we are right now, and changing CCP's mind, to get them to voluntarily forgo economic growth for the betterment of the rest of the planet, isn't going to fly. It isn't flying with the USA, either. I have no idea what EU really thinks it'll achieve with its Green Deal plan, but thus far it looks like more poverty and more dependence on the government assistance for living and less local food production. And I'm not blaming those from third world countries wanting to come to EU, either: so would I, if I was in their shoes.
Blame, really, is pretty useless right now. Scaring people out of their wits with the threat of nuclear war or Red Menace during the cold war didn't help any ordinary people either, so doing the same thing now with the climate scare is just as stupid as that was then. Like I said, either we're fucked, or we'll invent our way out of this.
