So, what the heck is that thing riveted to the chassis of the Harvey Wells Bandmaster Senior TBS-50C model? It’s not on the schematic and measures a dead short and maybe .00001 pico farads. Useless…unless you want to short 8k ohms of 5 watt resistors. I’m always dumbfounded at the bafoonery found inside vintage gear. Who are these people doing unthinkable things to vintage gear when it wasn’t even vintage gear yet? Whomever you are, please stop.

Phew. It felt good to get that off my chest.

Any way, if someone knows what the heck that thing is, please let me know.
