Title: Hi! I'm new!
Post by: HighMans on February 25, 2012, 07:48:01 pm
Hello, My nick name is Roadran422, I'm currently a freshman in HS and I literally have and know almost nothing about electronics. But soon that will be fixed. I have no lab what so ever, and the only thing I have is a 10$ Radio Shack Soldering iron, with no solder... Justs wanted to say Hi all!

Welcome Roadran,
a lot can be done with just a $10 soldering iron and a screwdriver or two. See if you can pick up a cheep multimeter(and stay away from high voltages), this will get you set up for most things ahead of you. If you are studying electronics at HS you will have access to there equipment witch will save you $$$.

Regards

Hey there. I'm in high school too. I started with electronics when I was a freshman also. This forum and Dave's videos are great for learning.

I know like 100000x more about electronics than I did 3 years ago. So good luck.

He mate welcome to the forum. It's a great place and awesome community. I'm a beginner in electronics too. I haven't found anything that is really useful, but I take information from here and there and I am slowly learning about electronics that way.

I started with an AA battery, a small transformer, my little brother ad a piece of paper marked "How to give someone an electric shock". ;D
