I use NoScript with Firefox and I have a huge hosts file (almost 900KB of blocked addresses) and I never see ads unless I specifically allow them.

I'm interested as MVPS hosts is around 500k and the one on someonewhocares.org is 300k and includes most of MVPS, have you manually added couple...?

Sorry Dave, disabling adblock doesnt help too much in these cases :p

I use a program called Hostsman. It automatically connects to multiple sources (MVPS is one) and automatically merges them into one file.
