Is Berstein Wiha or Wiha is Bernstein ?
« on: May 08, 2019, 11:21:38 am »
Why Wiha is not going to sue Bernstein brand or viceversa for the same design of their own precision screwdrivers ?

In any case,i actually noticed that Bernstain is much better then Wiha's for torx, because they got the hole to unscrew the torx's with security protection like these:

You can buy Wiha with a hole for security screws. BTW it makes screwdriver weaker which may be important when you unscrew really stuck screws.

No i can't !
I didn't yet found an wiha precision screwdriver with long shaft and the hole for sec-torx's :(
However,i think to solve my problem by buying these screwdrivers here :
PB SWISS TOOLS
PB 8627 CN

This set is ideal for my needs,so i will be very happy. :-+

Why does anyone bother with security screws, are they bribed by the screwdriver manufacturers or something?

I was thinking of the people putting the screws into their products. Is it to prevent children from opening dangerous electronics?

I think it's because they wish to squeeze and break the balls with our wallets to make us buy new screwdrivers.

I'll tell you why. Probably because small screwdriver handle and force requited for T10 don't match well. So T10 precision screwdriver is a half-assed product to begin with.

+/- you're right, but PB SWISS did offer the micro screwdriver for T-15,which in most of the cases is enough for an M3 T-15 Head screw.

Security through obscurity since you can’t go to Wal-Mart and get the drivers for it. It’s just for casual safety improvement, not high security.

They’re common on seat belt systems, public facilities (like soap dispensers) and electrical gear.

Not at all. Precision screwdrivers for non-tiny screws are awesome. For example, when reassembling stuff with screws driven straight into plastic. It’s way easier to not overtighten with a precision screwdriver, since you use your fingertips to grip it and not your fist. T10 is hardly a huge size anyway!!

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FZ5DSWC

Chinese handle, Wiha tips, marketed by Xiaomi for $25 ($15 in China).
I got it from banggood, $17 delivered.
