How does a new Fluke 289 come packed?
« on: November 19, 2013, 12:24:41 pm »
Hi All,

Just received a 'new' 289 and it came in a thin card box with no real packing, no peel off film over the display and the batteries already installed. Is this how Fluke stuff comes nowadays?

Should come in a nice printed yellow and black box. Substantial cardboard tray inside with meter, probes, CD, manuals (sealed), warranty card, film on display. Batteries are always installed. Probs got one lying around to take a picture if you want.

Box, probes etc sounds right but no film and no manuals or CD.

There is a narrow, black, Fluke printed envelope which says 'go to fluke.com to register and download manuals' on the outside.

Just bought 2 287s recently, and I think it should be similar to 289, and yes, it has the protective film if its new.

Also with cal paper, if its never calibrated, the date in the cal paper should be the same in the "Meter Info" with cal count = 1.
