Post by: itdontgo on February 22, 2012, 08:05:00 am
My new Nokia with crooked screen:

I cant understand how something so misplaced still works.  How did it get through QC?

I'd pull it apart but I want to swap it for one with a straight screen!

Nokia use a ribbon connector for there screens. So it can be crooked and still work.

I've seen units go out without screens, or keypads. Generally, it is because the unit has been tested by a computer test rig which does not look at the screen, just signals on the board.

I spent 450 pounds on a nokia phone 3 years ago. When it arrived in the post all i got was an empty box. :( I returned the package but never recieved a new phone back or a refund. nokia have failed completely to respond to my calls and emails and so i will never buy a nokia again. The worst customer service of any company ever! As far as im concerned they stole 450 pounds off me. :(

I would never buy a mobile phone online or over the phone. There is to much that can go wrong and you have little recourse when things do go wrong.
