How far is your voting place?

m k:
This is a sidekick from Dilbert and systemic racism.
I'd say that nature of voting obstructions are pretty systemic.

Somebody said that if they can vote we can never win.

In most, maybe all America, polling places are by precinct.  Also, the vast majority allow vote by mail for anyone.

Here are the rules for precincts in Ohio: https://www.ohiosos.gov/globalassets/elections/directives/2022/eom/dir2022-10-ch06.pdf

Note, the voter population must be 1,400 or less. In a typical city, that is fairly small in land area.  In the rural areas, of course, it is considerably larger, but we are not required to have at least 1,400.   My precinct is fairly small and the polling place is a local gun club.  No ones seems to be intimidated by that. ;)  It's about 3 or 4 miles away.  When I lived in the city, it was across the street at the end of my block.

What is your purpose for this poll?  When you give up on systemic racism, please don't resurrect the Russian Collusion hoax.

Any reason why this should be allowed in the General Technical Chat section? It is entirely political and non-technical from the start.
jonovid:
rumor has it, the process has been automated & results are established ahead of time.
denying this is as if denying the borders are open.
m k:
This is political only if you make it political.

I've seen some stats that split voting is diminishing.
Since red and blue are pretty even obstructing assumed opposite voting can be pragmatic.
If we assume that five states are tossups it's 10% of the Senate, continuing that and control of the chamber can be almost practically just few votes.
Based on few election maps the president part is different.
So with assumed diminishing support of the party obstructing assumed opposite voting, as long as possible, is very pragmatic.
