Parrot uses Amazon's Alexa to order treats for itself -

Its surprising to me that we haven't seen more stories like this. Parrots are extremely intelligent and learn new skills quickly.

Perhaps most parrots are smart enough not to get ever caught  ;D

So, the owner says they need to check orders every day when they come home from work.
I'd disable the Alexa feature as soon as I realized what was going on, or chuck the damned thing (Alexa, not the parrot) in the bin.

Fake news or the owner is a bit dense.

We have one of those echo things, it's handy as a kitchen timer and music player but no way in hell I would ever enable the ordering function. It only takes one smartass friend to end up with pallets of crap showing up on the porch.
