I'm not sure if this is the best category to post this, so please let me know if there's a better place.
Long story short: I hang out at a hackerspace, a few years ago we were lucky enough to get last pickings through piles of hardware at a HW-development/testing company that went out of business, found a lot of cool stuff, among that a boatload of ADC's.
Among the stuff we scavenged was a large amount of HMCAD 1511(we're talking several boxes, with multiple trays) as well as a few trays of 1520's.
For several years now they've been standing on a shelf, with other oddities as stuff sometimes do at hackerspaces. Considering it as "nice to have" yet with no real need for them, I assume stuff like this usually is bought in bulk quantities like this with certificates and whatnot to ensure they are within spec and whatnot, something we for obvious reasons don't have.
But, with the current chip shortages and all this, we got to thinking that there might be potential buyers that's willing to go through some extra trouble to get products rolling off the assembly lines if the price is right.
So in the end, my question is: should we just consider all of these chips as paperweights, or is there any way we could sell these for a price that would be reasonable for both us and the purchaser?
