Hi guys! Please, any idea, how to properly solder LV5083A chip? Many thanks for hints! |
| amyk:
Hot air gun and solder paste. Preheater recommended. |
| Ian.M:
... paste stencil recommended. |
| MegaVolt:
And then x-ray for control. |

Thanks for hints. The best way seems to be paste+stencil. The problem is, that the stencil is not existent :( I decided not to use my hotair rework station, but manual one. As a preparation I covered chip outlets using shiny tip with a ball of SnPb solder + a lot of flux, then wicked out and cleaned with IPA. The same I plan to do with the PCB, but without wicking out. Then IPA cleaning. Finally manual hotair with the smallest flow available (I have very powerfull 1kW device) 400 °C, very small ammount of Amtech NC, 2-3 mins preheat (temperatire measuring all the time) and final reflow about 60 secs at 240 °C. What do you think? Thanks fo your opinions in advance! |
