| How to Test Saft 14250s (LiSoCl2) Batteries? |

I use about 25 SAFT LSG 14250s in my security system. Would like to be able to test these batteries somehow. Would prefer a piece of test equipment but can build tester if necessary…and I have plans etc. Any ideas? Thanks |

Test it how, for what? Remaining capacity? State of health? Remaining shelf life? |

subscribe, as voltage nearly just tells you its over. :) |

State of Health: This can be accomplished a few ways. I typically just measure the short circuit current of the cell, given the ~5 Ohm ESR of the cell, this could be in the order of 500mA-1A . Open circuit voltage also helps determining it. Then calculate the ESR and that will give you a good indication on this. |
