How Transistors Work - The Learning Circuit
« on: October 03, 2019, 11:00:19 am »

4:20 to 5:26

Is this thing totally bogus or do I have to go back to school?

At 4:20 she says that Vce is equal to Vbe , and in the rest of it I think they messed up the schematic.
Mind over matter. Pain over mind. Boss over pain.

Bogus.

I remember watching this video a few months ago and spotting a number of serious mistakes. I'm surprised a decent company like Farnell haven't taken it down, but the comments seem to be mostly positive  :-//

It makes you think what have her and the viewers agreed upon?
If they both don't know what they are saying but still agree?

I found it to be rather weak, too.

I think the most fundamental concept about the transistor is that you can cause large current changes on the collector through very small current changes in the base. The switch is just a special application of this concept.
