Hey All,

My search-fu is really lacking and I can't find this.

A couple of weeks ago (I think) someone posted about a fantastic project that was done to replace the LCD display in an oldish HP meter with individual OLED segments - Basically the person was decoding the incoming data stream for the old LCD display and then handing it off to individual OLED displays that they had purchased off AliExpress/Alibaba/Etc. Each display segment was something like 128x64 (or possibly smaller) and they had code to display just that digit and an annunciator that HP included in the original LCD. To make matters worse I can't even remember the HP device that they were working on :(

I find myself contemplating fixing up a partially working LCD display on an old HP 7090A and I'd like to have a good backup plan if I hose the original LCD display as these measurement plotters seem pretty rare (I haven't been able to find a parts mule for this).

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

TonyG

A 3.5 digit 4.5 digit 5 digit 5.5 digit 6.5 digit 7.5 digit DMM is good enough for most people.
