Humble Bundle has a bundle with VEGAS Pro 14 Edit for just $20

Apparently it's too hard to right click on the icon of that app. and select option that stops it from launching as startup.
Or just use Task Manager or msconfig.. so many choices...

The point is not that you can stop it. The point is that you need to stop it in the first place.

The point made is that you shouldn't use it and move to BlackMagic Resolve instead.

IMHO this is quite an overreaction when compared to the quality of the Vegas software.

I actually find Resolve better to use than Vegas Pro.

So that was why I moved to Resolve. The desktop pop up advert did impact my decision but it was not the prime reason.

Thanks for the clarification. Even between Pinnacle Studio and Vegas I find some functionality more intuitive on the former, but the instability and other absent features make me prefer the latter.

This is common all around with software - part of why competition is a nice thing.
