That'd have to be somewhere seriously rural I'd think. My postal code has over 22,000 residents.

Comment to 'magic', thanks for your recent posts, I've similar thoughts, about state of smart phones:

The radio station offers an APP, but I just (try) connecting for 'podcast' listening.  But, HECK, compared to old-school radio...where you would just flip the radio on, maybe adjust the portable's antenna sometimes...that was it!
But these days, on my (Android, Alcatel), using direct, without downloading 'APP', it's very crappy performing, and just choking on ADs.
Sometimes, show (finally) gets on-air, for less than 90 seconds...then whoops...back to the whole series of ADs, (..."I'm Doctor Sanjay...Gru...."..) with more health tips advertisements...etc etc.
Technically, of course it's frustrating, with all the drop-outs and flat out signal and web site loss...forcing  manual reload.  But I suppose it's as a consumer that I notice...plus you cannot get / buy a traditional radio, at least not like before, in local drugstore.

The five-digit  US ZIP code may include 22,000 residents, but the full nine-digit ZIP code is much more local (although not necessarily one mail drop).

That's like half my city.   Pretty sure it's typically only a few houses or we'd literally have like 2 postal codes for the whole city lol.

Small cities do typically have only one or two postal codes. Now they have a 4 digit extension but most people still just use the original 5 digit codes.
