| ID a surface mount "ZIF" socket for SOIC |
| (1/1) |
| TomS_:
Hi all, wonder if anyone can ID the manufacturer/part number of a ZIF style socket for SOIC chips, per image? The two halves open up like a trap door to reveal the chip and hold it in place and press the pins down onto contact when closed. Thanks! |

Google search "soic-16 socket", 3rd picture. Wieson Technologies G6179-07000001, but probably there're more makers doing the same socket style. |

Here is the link to what David found: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32810140492.html The commonly available spring type is cheaper, if you don't need that specific footprint: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1107288077.html But I guess ability to lock is useful. |
