Hi, looking for some help identifying a connector I'm replacing the fan in a HP 6655A PSU, the OEM part came with the connector already attached. The OEM part is no longer orderable and I've chosen a suitable replacement. The replacement of course just comes with plain wires, no connector. I'm trying to work out what the connector is so I can buy one to fit it to the new fan. If it helps I found a part number for the PCB header HP 1251-4245 (NSN:5935010494128) It looks like a Molex one, but trying to work out which type :-// |

Can't you cut the connector off the old fan, and join the wires?? |
| veedub565:
Yeah could do, it would be a neater job with a new connector though. The wires are quite different thicknesses too. |

What's the pin spacing? That should narrow down the possibilities greatly. |

**EDIT** it's 3.96mm according to the info I found for the PCB header (HP 1251-4245)600V 7A |
