The really fun part is how one can spend $6k on such a crap. |

2k of bike sold for 6k. The temp sensors should have been used to reduce the power/speed of the bike to avoid sudden shock or overheating. But they needed to do testing to find these issues and that costs money. One of the things I have learnt about a new bike is you take it for some short easy journeys to start with to run it in. I know at least 2 people that would strip a bike down and rebuild it before even attempting to start it, that way they would know every bolt was done up right and the bits that needed lube were lubed. A poor connection on the battery could generate some heat. |

Though I suppose that if even basic temp sensors aren't even present then it's doomed. |

There is exactly ZERO (big fat zero) chance that someone paid 6K USD on this e-bike, it has ZERO control elements, a miserable small 1$ light and that's it, most likely one of these "viral" videos made for views and "influencer points" and subscribers. So is this is similar with the Alibaba/Aliexpress "Enduro" off-road e-bikes (not even meant to run on public roads), that even the latest and greatest models are less than 2.8K USD, that was most likely a discounted older model that the guy bought not to use it (the first police car found on the road would have got him arrested and the contraption confiscated), but to propel his Youtube channel. This explain the lack of all things necessary for a public road vehicle, like speedometer, mirrors, charge measurement and so on. The video is the fakest shit that I've seen lately, and I've seen a lot of fake shite made for likes and subscribes, the guy produced a long video, a Youtube short and some Tik-toc's, Fortunately it didn't bring him too many subscribers with all this cringe efforts to play a desperate dude, "oooohhh loook it buuurns....", als the bursting in flames is highly suspect as hell, so 0/5, staged shit. |

There are a things that dont add up, such as mentioning the speedo issue just as it goes up to 300mph. But I wouldn't assume it's a fake, well it's not as fake as jumping out of a perfectly fine aircraft while having lots of cameras ready to get the angles. The value is what someone says it's worth and you never know they may have bought it from a guy down at the market for half the retail price of $5999.95 |
