I don't know if there is wide interest, but here is a series of videos going in depth about what Tesla has announced on battery day. Nine parts so far with more to come. The creator of The Limiting Factor youtube channel, Jordan Giesige, has put a lot of research into making these videos, finding published research and interviewing people working on batteries.

The shallowest summary of the video series is that Tesla is working very hard and as quickly as possible to bring multiple near-term advances in battery technology to production. Dave's video on the Tesla 4680 battery format covers just one small aspect of what Tesla is working on.
