IRC?
« on: September 17, 2010, 01:59:09 am »
Ok, I'm trying to set up an IRC client to use with the live chat. U stream recommend mIRC which I'm using.
I follow the instructions here:
http://www.ustream.tv/forum/showthread.php?370-mIRC-and-ustream.tv
But nothing works, I just get "connection refused".
I've tried both "ustream" and "eevblog" for the group name.

How do others IRC into the Ustream chat?

Dave.

It works for me. If you're at work it's possible that port 6667 has been blocked. If not, then who knows!

I also chat in IRC quite a bit, using KVirc as a client, since it's free and pretty-looking. Pretty much the best network I've come across is Freenode.net, especially the ##electronics channel there. Lots of cool people, just like this forum :)
