Is anyone willing to donate me a oscilloscope(analog CROs)
« on: September 21, 2022, 04:58:18 am »
Dear Friends,
I am Sarvesaa, an 17 year old electronic hobbyist and I joined college to get Electrical and electronics engineering degree.
I am setting up a lab for me. I got a DMM, DIY Power Supply, and many miscellaneous things. To complete my setup I am looking for oscilloscope and a function generator.

But sadly I cannot afford the expensive modern test gear, I am very interested in old HP and Tektronix equipments. I am looking for donations from you guys.

Thank you

Regards
Sarvesaa Jaganathan

FYI forum, a donated a meter to Sarvesaa a couple of years back, so he's legit.
The problem is shipping costs for scopes, especially older heavier ones is usually more expensive than what you could get one for locally.

Shipping an oscilloscope to India will be expensive and fraught with danger (for the oscilloscope) I suspect - have you considered asking around universities, high schools, and so on to see if they have any surplus equipment they are scrapping?

For a signal generator, I would suggest something like this:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/155151440933

They are very basic, but a good start.

Good luck with your search.

edit: remove eBay tracking stuff
